The Audible Display Unit beeps (a short audible sound) each time 2.5 feet (U.S.A), or 1 meter (Metric) of trail wire is drawn through the wire measurer unit, and also beeps (a longer audible sound) each time 100 feet (U.S.A), or 100 meters (Metric) of trail wire is drawn through the wire measurer.

In addition, (following a reset to zero) the total length of wire pulled through the wire measurer is displayed on the LCD.
